Default Belt Slip

I've been fighting with belt slip for the last year. There is a limit as to how tight you can tighten the supercharger belt before you wipe out the supercharger bearing.
Vortech offers a HD version with a large bearing but it runs > $1000 additional.

I have sourced a pulley from Reichard Racing that has slits in it and grips the belt better supposedly. I guess I'll find out next week.

Has anyone on here run the Reichard Ultra Grip pulley?

I contacted him about a year ago about modding my current pullies, but he stated he no longer mods pullies made by other manufacturers. If I wanted a pulley with slits I would have to order one from him.

How much is he charging for our little Vortechs?

wouldnt a more matte (possibly sandblasted) surface work better also? The anodized layer on the aluminum pulleys are definitely slick.

looks like a simple work of a dremel to me. (or maybe a press drill or similar device which can do precise cuts)

I also agree that roughing the surface of the pully may help, but i could cause unexpected wear on the belt?

You could always have your Vortech pulleys bead blasted for better grip. It would be the same as the Vortech High-Traction pulleys.

Reichard Racing comes through.

I'll will install the pulley this week and give impressions when I dyno next time.
Visually the pulley has some imperfections but I doubt they will impact it's function.
The outer rim has some spots that look like it was dropped but I am sure they are from the manufacture.

A flat spot on the right side you can see in this picture. There are several of them around the pulley.

Another spot is on the left just above the light reflection.
