Visually the pulley has some imperfections but I doubt they will impact it's function.
The outer rim has some spots that look like it was dropped but I am sure they are from the manufacture.

A flat spot on the right side you can see in this picture. There are several of them around the pulley.





Another spot is on the left just above the light reflection.

Sideways, how did you find the ultra grip pulley in the end. Did it work well with no slip? Any problems or downsides?

They work as advertised. Nothing larger than 3.6 inches.
