Most people dont understand what oil squirters do. They are mostly there for heat transfer purposes. Squirting oil on the back side of the piston extracts the majority of the heat of combustion from the piston, the rest goes through the piston cylinder wall contact patch. Removing them will increase your pistons operating temperature, and increase your chances of detonation. This extra cooling will be even more important for you, since you are switching to cast iron sleeves. Cast iron's rate of heat transfer is about 60% of that of the aluminum walls you are replacing, and will further elevate your piston temperatures.

I wouldnt remove them if I were you.

The majority of engine builders seem to plug them, becuase they agree that they dont actually do anything for aftermarket forged aluminum pistons, its deemed unnecessary, so in this case, you might as well just get the added oil pressure, is the consensus. Some sleeves wont even provide room for the squirters, so its not even a consideration.

The majority of engine builders are also not engineers. The stock f20 and f22 pistons are forged aluminum. Oil squirters are not nesscarry, however your piston will run hotter without them.

Hey to who ever that has thought about useing benson do it he is one of the most jam up men i have ever delt with

I called him yesterday to find out if he got.tje funds for the block while i was in the e.r. He had already got it sleeved and ready to ship and told me that not to.worry about the block to get better and keep him update on my situation and my blood transfusion

Now idk about the rest of yall but i thought that was the coolest thing that this busy machinist told me not matter then time to let him know how i was and if i needed anything so I consider that taking customer support to a whole nother level

but anyway I'm sure y'all don't care but I just want to share my experience with benson and what a great guy he is thanks
