Yeah I imagine your effectively trying to produce the cfm breathing capability of your 4 banger to mimic the breathing of a v8... and doing quite well I might add. This blower on any other factory 4 banger just wouldn't produce.
well actually my pushrod v8 sucks in comparison to the power per liter that a honda will produce...the motor design of the f20 is so much more advanced than the LSx...

Sure I agree, but it still has 4 more cylinders helping to draw cfm.

Any chance we can see from 4k+, instead of 5.7k+?

Even though Joey is making a lot more power Remember he is on E85 and Sidways is still using pump gas and his numbers arn't easy to beat even with a turbo.

Looking good.
One of these days we have to compair notes, I have some big ides for Joey's car that I think would be a big benifit to yours also.

awesome job man! thats very nice for a 1500 blower on this motor!

but its crazy the difference in boost it takes on the same blower to make that kind of HP. i just bought a 1500 for my vette, and the kid who had it on before me made 684whp with it, running a lot less than 25lbs.

i remember scott mentioning something about stalling the blower, are you having any issues with it right now? i think the blower/setup still has some HP left in it, it just has to be freed up! looks like you're on the right track!
Yeah this car is VERY impressive, with his meaty 10.5" wheels and stickies it runs like a bat out of hell.

With 7.0L's you will be luck to see anything over 10PSI at the service limits but that topend is going to be INSANE. So have you thought about replacing the pistons yet? Which kit did you buy?

It turned out to be surge not stall, the car turned sideways and caused too much restriction and there was not enough CFM at that boost level pushing it back behind the surge line.

I kind of disagree with this slightly.

the correct way would be to have the setup tuned to its maximum potential with the current combination of parts, THEN re tune the new setup with the new combination of parts so it is running optimally.

That would give you a true comparison when swapping out just a single item.

bad tune with one header vs. a good tune with a different header isn't a fair comparison.

good tune on both is a fair assessment of the power gained by just swapping the header.
When we got to the dyno I did make some changes as the AFR's were off a bit and VTEC was set too low. The AFR's were made before the graphs that you see but VTEC was modified throughout the process. This is why I posted the numbers like I did. When he got on the dyno there was a huge 30FTLB drop in torque.

As for the tune it's self, there was no change in AFR's, boost did not drop and I did not modify timing as we are still super conservative with it now. The gains you see are purley from the header which is how I decided to run the test. I do agree that there may have been more gains availible from an extra 1/2 deg of timing but the process takes sometime and we had already spent over 6 hours there which gets pretty expensive also.

On the other hand with such small changes I don't feel that we would have seen any gains. The T1R and Berk were very similar, enough so that we did not even have to change any of the fueling.

Can you fix the dyno plot to show the rest of the rev range? This dyno plot shows only ~2500 RPMs, which is less than half the story. If you could add AFR to the plot, that would be even better. Since there is virtually no differencei n peak power between the 2 headers, it seems that the big news is in the mid-range differences, which isn't shown.

I would love to see what a long tube 4-1 style header with a 3" collector on it would do. Waiting patiently for 600whp

Scott, do you have any idea on how much power this fuel set up would make on a turbo car? Are you guys running out of fuel yet by chance? Any plans of throwing in the DW or the Aeromotive drop in pump.
