Best exhaust system for Supercharged 2.2
Just picked up a 05 supercharged - with cooler, boosting 6 psi .
Stock motor... Bone stock exhaust.
Whats the best setup for what Im currently running.
Car currently makes 300 hp. Looking to free up the exhaust.
Not looking for anything to loud.
Thanks
Chris

The ones that are going to free up some HP are going to be loud. I had an Amuse R1000 70mm header back single, super loud. Now I have a T1r 70r em Dual Sparrow, quieter but still a bit loud and has been reported to be one of the best dual exhausts for the S, making some great power.

What kind of supercharger system are you running? If it's Comptech/CT Engineering, they sell a stainless exhaust system that's supposed to complement it without being overly noisy. It's about $1100, though, and only you know your budget. Greddy's Spectrum Elite SE system is gorgeous. I've had that system on an '09 Civis Si and it was gorgeous, but not 'ricey' as far as the sound goes. For the s2000, it's about $1200. Understand, I don't remotely claim to be an expert... I can only speak for what I've used and/or researched myself (I'm a sucker for stainless systems). My s2000 currently has a Tanabe dual system on it and I hate it. You have to keep the resonator inserts installed just so your ears won't bleed. My next system will probably be either CT Engineering or Greddy.

Somewhere on here there is a huge write up on different size exhausts, the poster did dyno's with different exhausts on his supercharged S, I think his best gain came from the Legalis R, a smaller 63.5 exhaust. Can't fully recall but try looking for that.

Interesting link to some people who tried the Invidia N1:

The set up is a vortech, with cooler. Stock injectors, FMU and greddy Emanage.

Won't gain a whole lot at the stock boost level. Once you up the boost should be some decent gains freeing up the exhaust some.
No point getting a 60mm aftermarket dual if looking for power.
A test pipe will yield some nice gains especially if you can get a standalone to tune your setup!! Can then lower vtec to 3800 or so for some improved midrange.
Definitely stay away from the Invidia exhaust and skunk2, Megan and the like if not wanting a loud bassy exhaust.
I'd say for now do a test pipe first and then look into one of the nicer 70mm exhausts. Worth the extra money for a really nice sounding non obnoxious exhaust imo.
