Ive gotten a chance to tune both turbos. The 5857 turbo spools about 200 rpm before a 6262 ,but you will be limited with higher boost. The 6262 is a perfect turbo for the s2k. The problem is that the s2k motor is so efficient that when you run a small turbo or housing, it really chokes the motor up top. You have a built 2.5L , that is why I would stick a 6265 or a 6262 on it.
I'm with FB on this.

Honda's LOVE big exhaust sides.

For 450whp I would highly recommend the Precision 6262SP or Precision 6262SP-B if the budget is there. The 6262SP sells around $900.00 and the 6262SP-B sells around $1,439.99. I've used both plenty of times. You will be very happy.

You'd recommend the 6262 over the 5857? I'm looking to build a quick street car, and don't really plan to up the power anytime soon.

I love my 5857 on the street. Spools fast and pulls all the way to redline

If 450hp is your goal then the 5857 will definitely work. I just see so many customers who set a goal, then want twice the amount of power weeks later.

I just found that at 530whp the car wasn't very enjoyable to drive on the street. You couldn't ever actually get on the throttle coming through a corner, and the car didn't see much traction until highway speeds.

You have a very efficient 2.5 liter engine. In my opinion the 5857 is too small for this application. I would never put anything smaller than a 6262 on a 2.5 liter as efficient as your's.

Do you think there would be a notable difference in the response of the 6262 as compared to the 5857?

I have no problem running a 6262, I just want to make sure that I'm not going to lose any of the response. The whole point in going from a 6765 to a smaller turbo is to improve the response of an almost entirely street driven car.
