Default BHG and now what?

before any flames come, i just recently bought the flux capacitator so i already made an anti-flux flame suit. I bought the car from a member on here awhile back (papa5murf) the car was tuned in house at inlinePRO and all that good stuff, everything looked very good. I re-used the tune that originally came with the car with the only difference being the BOV and the intercooler and charge pipes. So those changes were negligible IMO as far as the tune. a week ago was a dynoday event locally so I went for a tune to make sure everything's running right and there were no issues with the tune. The tuner looked at the tune and decided to run it on a lower PSI to start and slowly work his way up to where it would make optimal power. before the tune was finished, a small oil leak for the turbo (feed) was discovered and so the tune was capped off at 12PSI. and since my boost controller apparently never worked, boost cut was set at 12PSI. the tuner informed me that originally that the tune logged somewhere in the 16PSI region as it should have been according to the previous owner.

So that's the "background" to the motor, well today I was detailing my car and polished/wax one side on the street (can't get up the driveway since its on a slight hill) so I finished the one side, fired up the car to do a U-turn. Right away I knew something wasn't right, it was idling but it would intermittently jump so I slowly eased off and did the U-turn parked her and finished the other side while thinking about what the possible issues could be. I've been running this new tune for 7 days (started and shut down 8-12 times) and so I started trying to figure out bits and pieces. Well now I remember 3 or 4 days ago I had my laptop riding in passenger and i noticed the ECT got to the red zone at 204degree's but it got back down to ~190 as soon as I got to a roll.

Anyways now I find that my coolant overflow is dry and there's no leaks in sight and with the idle being that way I'm 99% sure the HG's a goner. Now what do you FI guys suggest be the next headgasket? a OEM one or another 3mm. How long would the OEM one take to tune out? because with the 3mm I can replace and just plug up the old tune and be on my way without issue.

any suggestions?

edit:: the reason why im considering the OEM headgasket is because I have a tubular manifold that'll be going on very soon. and I want to make use of that great flowing mani

I prefer the OEM headgasket. I will be using the OEM HG on my build using a 10:1 CR.

Do you seriously expect people to know what BHG is?

I have no clue what a BHG is, the turbo you have, your power goals, or what mani your going to run. But regardless you will need a new tune after you fixed your car. Also it would be helpful to list your power goals. 400hp you may be OK with the stock HG, more than that well you may need lower compresion pistons or HG.

I think you should do a leakdown test instead of the very scientific "low coolant in the overflow bottle" before condemning the headgasket.
