Unhappy Bigger exhaust for turbo ?

Hey guys . I have fullrace kit with Gt3076R 0,82 Ar turbo with inlinepro 3mm headgasket on stock motor and i have a 3 inch straight pipe exhaust with Hks hi power muffler. I made 400whp - 450hp @1 bar of boost. I have a couple of questions ;

Can i get more power from a bigger exhaust ? 3.5 inch or 4 inch ?
Does bigger exhaust mean later spool ?
Will i have difficulties controlling the boost ?

Thanks for your help
Tolga

u should be fine with a 3 inch until u get into crazy horse power numbers, thicker piping on the exhaust will not mean later spool

3" will support up to ~700whp.
IMHO nobody with a stock motor + FI will ever need a 4" exhaust. That is Supra territory.

Maybe a boosted 2.5 stroker motor at over 25#'s.

Larger exhaust means longer spool time and a harder time controlling boost, but more power. Either way, nothing larger then 3" is needed unless your atleast 600+

your exhaust is after the turbo!, if you had a restrictive exhaust it would slow spool time - but a bigger exhaust would not do anything. you are fine with a 3", want more power start looking at meth injection, running race gas, or upgrading manifolds, you are limited to 500 hp on the stock motors sleeves and the rearend in your car!

Yeah Tolgahan, go get race gas. Then we can do a InlinePro vs Fullrace race on the ring.
You have the benefit of the Fullrace manifold and I from the thinner HG. Rest of the setup seems to be the same.

Can you post some pics here?

The way I thought of it was a restrictive exhaust would net more backpressure allowing the larger pressure difference over the turbine to make it spin faster. Maybe I'm just thinking to much into it...
