Default Bogging after putting stock ECU...

Hey guys i tried doing a search but its still down.

Well my car was tuned by churches back in 06 and everything was running fine on the AEM EMS, my car is vortech sc'ed. I had to put the stock ecu back in 2 months ago to get it smogged, since then i rarely drive the car, maybe once a week.

Earlier this morning i decided to take a long drive down the coast line just for fun with the stock ecu still in. After about 20 miles i came to a redlight and my car started bogging (the idle dropped under 500rpm for about 10 seconds, and then died) I turned the car back on and it runs fine again. Then later on the car starts to bog again and when i step on the gas it feels like theres no power, but this time it doesnt die on me, it goes back to normal idle. So it feels like it goes in and out of this problem randomly.

Will putting the stock ecu back in, be a possible cause of this type of problem?

I'm taking the car to Spugen on Friday but was wondering if anyone can help narrow down the possibilities of the problem.

Thanks in advance!

Robz

You have one of those piggyback things to run the car with the stock ECU correct? Sounds like some of the wiring down there may be loose.

Or are you just running a stock ECU on a SC'd car and expecting it to run perfect?

You cant run boost with the stock ECM, it is not tuned for it so if you do get into boost you will run super lean and burn a hole in a piston in the best case scenario.
