Default Boost gauge/ Wideband set up?

Hello all,

I'm still slightly torn on which EMS I am going with (AEM EMS V2 or Haltech Plug in). I'm starting to lean towards the AEM because it's just more widely available and used.

That being said, I'm trying to look into gauges. I'd love to have a boost/AFR pod that is integrated into the radio door (ricks accessories-discontinued) or the plx gauge that replaces the mute/cd- radio button.

However since I'm leaning towards the AEM EMS v2, I'm starting to also consider a single a pillar pod with AEM serial gauge (19 in 1). I keep reading that it is a pain in the A$$, but I would have mine professionally installed by my tuner.

LONG STORY SHORT: I'm looking for gauge and gauge location suggestions.

I have the v2 and know nothing about the Haltech. If you do go AEM, I would highly recommend AEM gauges whatever the configuration. Their stuff is good and works together well.

I have the Haltech ECU, but use an AEM wideband failsafe gauge which I highly recommend. Its a wonderful two-in-one boost/AFR gauge. Easy to read, easy to set up, and can interface with any ECU easily as well. I was able to wire it all up and interface it with the Haltech, and I have two left hands when it comes to anything electrical. It also has some simple data logging capabilities (which you may not use because you could just log from your aftermarket ECU). But I data logged with it before I went standalone ECU. Its a great unit, and I've never had a problem with it.

I have the PLX in the radio control panel. I like it. I read someone complain about a broken one once but mine has been going for several years without issue.

I like the install somewhere besides a guage pod because it just yells out "I have aftermarket ecu and no immobilizer so please steal me"

A location that sticks out less is what I prefer. The PLX guage does get hard to see sometimes because of the glare off the screen. The best one I have seen was mounted inside the rearview mirror but I did not take the time to do that. With the plx you can download the S2000 gauge face so it matches the dash but you can only do that for one function, so my AFR has an S2000 look, but then if I set it to read boost or both at the same time it is a generic look.

I have seen better installs but here is mine:

Stealth mirrors is the company I think. If you search on here you can find my thread on the mirror.
