What are you using to check for boost leaks? Twice I have had boost leaks pop up out of nowhere and having a boost leak detector would make finding the leak much easier. Last time I found it while on the dyno.
I thought about making my own and then decided to google it and ...pre made, ready to use, nicer than I could make, reasonable prices too. I just ordered up a 4 inch one for the tool box.

Rather than driving around to the hardware stores and auto parts places I just ordered one.

The only time I have had a boost leak is when the charge pipe came off
. I am sure if you logged some info off your ems you could easily tell if you are leaking boost. Not that I have tried it, but if you have an air compressor @ home you could use that to try and find a leak.

Ive always just improvised, but those who havent done this I highly recommend you give it a shot. Basically 100% of the cars I have done it to have a leak somewhere. Whether from a clamp being at a bad angle or having a hole rubbed in a pipe by some steel, theres been at least a sight leak.

It arrived 4 days after I ordered it. Very simple and easy to make your own as has been stated before. You need a drill and tap to make one of these. If you skip the gauge it can be made for very cheap. It was simple to just order it.

Now to the task at hand, looking for boost leaks and solving them.
