Default boost loss with FMIC on CTSC

Ultimate racing front mount put on, boost was 2.8psi. So I put a SOS 9psi pulley on and now Im getting 5psi. Ultimate said 4psi loss was normal. I think that too much boost loss. I want to get 7.5 at the manifold so I may have to go to the 12psi pulley.

Does this sound right or does anyone else think there is a leak somewhere becuase I cant find one. Unless the blower itself is leaking.

i didnt know you lost boost proportional to what you are originally trying to make.

5.5 went to 2.8. 9 is going to 5. hmmmm, is it a digital boost gauge? did the dyno have a boost input to record your boost? its hard to trust an autometer gauge, they can be off 1-2 psi just on there own. do you have a scan gauge that can read the map sensor, for that kinda boost is should read right.

sounds wrong to me. id keep looking for things. oh, whats your altitude? sealevel?

No other boost meter than the autometer. Its a dyno jet but no boost gauge. I may tap into the pipe at the TB with another quage and see where its at. Or put the comptech boost tube back on and see what the qauges says
Im in Philly but I dont know the alt. around here.

Lower boost is good if you're still putting down the same amount of power. The question here is do you have a leak? Double check all the hosing and connections...

I dont see any leaks. Going with the 11psi pully and see where that puts me. Still trying to get 7.5 on the gauge.

My thoughts also. Its really working the blower, Im not sure its worth the boost loose but it looks damn good!

boost loss decreases with increasing boost out of the blower. a 4psi loss is normal at low boost, say a 7psi or so pulley. but once you get up in the 9-10psi pulley range then you should only see 1psi or so loss.

Guess thats normal then, my Buddy "Integrapunk67" on the board has the exact set up with your fmic and the 9 psi sos pulley making exactly 5psi. We thought there was a leak somewhere possibly in the BOV, he got a new one and its still the same, no leaks. 4 psi loss on that intercooler. You will need a 3.4 -3.2 pulley to get 8-9 psi it seems. He has a 3.2 pulley but hasnt put it on yet so we dont know for sure what the end result will be there.

BTW he is making 280whp/ 180trq pretty typical to good for 5 psi
