Default Boost not right?

I am just trying to figure out whats going wrong with my turbo if anything. For background I have an inline pro kit with a precision 5965 b.

My low boost is set at 12 psi and it was tuned at roughly 50ish F while on 93 pump, I am not exactly sure of the temp, all I know is for sure it was in Feb when it was tuned.

My problem is I have been hitting boost and noticed the gauge telling me my low boost is only hitting 8-10 psi. I know my car is running rich since even at idle the exhaust makes a popping noise every 2 seconds or so, and the car goes into the 10-11 Air/Fuel when at boost.

I have also heard some noise from my car as if the downpipe is coming loose, and so I initially thought it was just some bolts backing out of the downpipe. The turbo does not seem to be spooling faster than usual, which made me believe maybe I only have a bolt or 2 gone. I looked from the hood and can see the top 2 bolts on fine, I checked the vacuum lines and they are fine too. I do not have a lift or access to one where I am now, so I cant check the bottom 3 bolts.

So my question is on your tune does you car not hit full boost during the summer when the temps increase since it was tuned at a lower temp? If that is the case no biggie the car still is fast at 8-10 psi on low boost. Thanks for any help or insight!

I would examine why hearing a new noise. That might very well be related.

just something I thought of last nite..i heard the slightly different turbo noise while driving my car into the garage (for the 1st time) so perhaps that's the normal noise and since I'm not hitting full boost I jumped to conclusions?

so the question remains do other turbo guys hit lower boost in the summer due to heat/humidity? not sure if this will make much of a difference but I found out my dad put in 1/2 a tank of 92 octane when I'm tuned at 93, could that lower the boost I was hitting?
thanks for all the help

well the air is MUCH less dense in the summer so at least with a MBC you would have to adjust and turn the boost up in the warmer air, however if you have an EBC I thought it would adjust for that.

that's what I thought too..i have boost controlled by my kpro so I thought it would adjust but I'm not 100% sure. I will give inlinepro a call tomorrow and hopefully they can shed some more light on this.

maybe it takes your KPRO a few "cycles" tp adjust for the vast TEMP change?

UPDATE:

the weather is cold outside so I took the car out. It seems to drive fine, the boost was steady at 10 psi and I got a boost creep I believe to 12 psi, which is what my low boost should be set at.

I can still hear the turbo making a slightly different sound. It only occurs when the car is revving, again I am not sure if its a normal sound and I can notice it better now, or if it is truely a different sound. My new fear is that perhaps I have a bent compressor blade. I know it is possible, and perhaps that could explain the noise and the lower boost, but I am not sure how it could have occured.

Edit: Weather today is 47 F, and humidity is at 63%.
So the temp is right around what I was tuned at, however the humidity is at least 25% higher if not more.
