To better control boost there are a few things you can do.

1. You can run a more restrictive exhaust system. This will make the pressure differential greater between wastegate and the turbo manifold. Exhaust gases like to follow a path of least resistance.
2. You can change the wastegate location on the manifold to make it more 'efficient' in diverting exhaust gases into the WG.
3. You can enlarge the wastegate opening (redoing the entire wastegate tubing) and run a larger wastegate. For a time i wasn't running a dumptube and through logging i found that putting a 44mm dumptube on didnt change my boost creeping issues at all.
4. You can run a smaller wastegate spring, which will open the gate earlier, in turn helping control creep.

what kind of manifold, wastegate and turbo are you running?

dude i love you but the exhaust comment doesnt make any sense. Its pretty much all wastegate and wastegate position.
i know its backwards but it did help me..... When i had the ividia v4 exhaust i would spike to 21-22lbs of boost before it went down to a solid 18-19. when i got the asura exhaust .. it fixed the problem and didn't have boost spiking anymore.

Just going by my experience....... showing some love....

It also depends on how the WG port is setup on the manifold.

If it is not angled in correctly, the flow is not ideal through the WG. IIRC, Full Race actually modified their WG take-off through the various versions of their manifold to help it flow better and reduce creep.

Bet its fun!

I know how to solve the problem, I wasn't really questioning why it was happening lol
I did try and angle the WG in the direction of exhaust gas flow through the manifold, but it's hard when space is a concern in this car! I'm running my own manifold.

Like I said when I get my DD I will pull the manifold off, inspect it, maybe make some changes...that is, if changing the dumptube doesn't help first.
I'm using a tial 44mm, big red spring, garrett t3 60-1 turbo stage 5 wheel smaller a/r backside i forget what it was
