Boosting JDM F20c
Hello! I spun a main bearing on my turbo s2000 and was told that the block will be unusable. Even though the damage doesn't look bad to the eye, sucks because the engine just only had 40k on it
So I'm looking at a few options and buying a jdm f20c from hmotors is the cheapest route. I know the compression is higher, but does anyone have any experience with them? Should i just spend the extra money and have laskey or inline pro build me a block? If I do get a jdm f20c, i was planning to put a built head on it with upgraded head studs and new oem head gasket, and change the banjo bolts just to be safe since our AP1 engines had issues with banjo bolts and retainers. Any input or advice would be great! Thank you!

I'm not too certain about the JDM vs. USDM F20C for turbo purposes, but I do know that Laskey has gotten some really bad reviews and experiences lately so I'd recommend that you be weary of them. Inline Pro I'm not as up to date with, but be sure to do your research before shelling out cash to any engine builder for an F20C right now, I know reputable builders are in short supply right now.
My recommendation personally, depending on how much power you're throwing at the engine, would just be to try to find a good condition USDM F20/F22C.
