It does sound like you do have a blown HG. Do you know what lead up to this? Are you running a Hondata intake manifold gasket? They have been known to leak over time and cause some coolant to leak into the cylinder and mimic a blown HG. I had this happen to me. I was for sure thinking I had a blown HG until i pulled the intake off and 3 of the bolts were loose right around the coolant port and you could visibly see that coolant was leaking into the cylinder from the Hondata gasket. I kept getting air into the system and overheating from this and just wanted to make sure you dont have this gasket on your car. If you do, that could be your problem.

If it does end up being a blown HG, go ahead and build the head while its off. Mike Laskey is a great guy and he has awesome deals on the Supertech stuff. Definitely give him a call and see what he can do for you.

I have had my girdle tapped from day one, back in 03 and I have never had one problem with hurting any of the 2 turbo's I have used since. As a matter of fact, both of those turbo's I resold and they were practically brand new in the way the shaft play and everything was. The girdle drain is definitely the way to go.

For the banjo bolt upgrade, look into the Majestic Honda website. You can get them very cheap there as apposed to going through a Honda dealership.

Hope some of this helps.

I'm actually thinking about selling my diff or trading it for one with 410 gears but I wont make that decision until after I install my kit and see how it feels. I'll be honest I was a little iffy about the 3mm head gasket at first but after talking to the guys at inline pro I feel comfortable with it. As far as my budget goes I just dont want to spend to much more. I have money ready if I need new valve seals, valves, retainers, and mil the head but other than that I think my s2000 has taken enough of my money for now.

I will give Mike Laskey a call tomorrow because I have been toying with the idea of building the head and this is the perfect time to do it.

Just so you know, I got all my Supertech built head stuff from Laskey Racing for $650 shipped. Best deal anywhere. I got inconel ex valves, nitrite ss in valves, dual valve springs with seat locators and ti retainers. Then I took it to a well known local head shop and they hot tank cleaned the head, checked for cracks, bead blasted it, did a 3 angle valve job, lapped the valves, slightly milled the head to get it perfectly flat and with a mirror finish, put all new valve seals in, new ex guides and built it all up for only $190. So, you can have a fully built nice strong head for $840 if you chose.

I actually just called Mike Laskey to get a price quote. Are there any other valve trains that I should look into or is this one of the best ones. I definitely am going to build the head now but I just hate jumping into things with out doing a lot of research but hey that's what this site if for.
