I am excited about my build too. My car is going to make more power than I ever intended it to. I originally didnt plan on the 3mm HG and ARP headstuds plus now I am getting my head built with a Supertech valvetrain and it took all of 1 day to talk me into it Laskey Racing said that my order should be here on wednesday so next week I will take my head to the machine shop to get built. After that the last thing I need is my turbo kit itself. HPC is a little backed up on coating my parts right now but hopefully it wont be to much longer.

I got my head back today freshly rebuilt with the Supertech valvetrain. My head also got new valve guides, honed for proper clearance, a 3 angle valve job, and a mil. On saturday I will be reinstalling the head and I'm a little nervous about it. When I took it off I was shocked by the number of things I had to disconnect from the intake manifold, so hopefully i will get them all reconnected with out a problem.

It has been a while since I made an update but it's finals time at school. Yesterday I re-installed my head with the arp head studs and IP 3mm HG. the re-install went very smoothly without any complications. Now I'm just waiting on the rest of my turbo kit to get here. My turbo kit comes with AC relocation lines and I was told by a friend of mine that I dont want my AC lines unhooked for to long because that will get moisture in the system and it wont preform as good. I have some fab work that I want to do before the rest of my kit gets here but the AC lines are in the way. If i took my car to an AC shop would they be able to get the moisture out of my system?

You dont want to keep the lines disconnected for very long, that is correct. Maybe a couple of hours at most. Once you get the new lines on though, it's resealed up and you dont have to get it recharged right away. The main point is to not leave the lines disconnected for very long or moisture can get into the dryer canister and ruin it. I did my AC line relocation kit within a 2 hour timeframe and resealed everything up. It's been 2 months and I still havent recharged the system, but per my good friend that is a Honda Tech (has been for 20 years), he said as long as you dont have the lines disconnected for very long, you'll be fine and it doesnt matter how long you wait to get it recharged, it wont hurt anything.
