The Turbosmart Kompact is offered in two sizes, 20mm and 25mm. What size is the Bosch unit for a direct swap?

So I am right in thinking a BOV for my SC setup (or low powered SC's in general) its purely cosmetic and for aural pleasure? .

I have the Godjirra BOV on my CT setup and LOVE the sound of it. Clearance is very tight with an aftermarket Rad though.

The 25mm/1" is the one you want.

I swapped my plastic Bosch recirculating valve with a 25mm Turbosmart Kompact Plumb back recirc valve (I want to keep a low profile).

And 34mm.
All three are available in straight Bypass and adjustable dual port models.

Used a Greddy Type-S on my Comptech kit, loved the sound and works beautifully
