Default Built bottom ends? Who to go with?

Well, after my recent mishap with my 2nd engine, I reckon it's time to move on to a stronger bottom end with lower compression. I'm located in Canada so I'll need to ship this across the border seeing that there are no reputable shops that do sleeving.

Can any of you recommend a decently priced shop that can do this for me that has had lots of success with the F series motors? Who should I stay away from? This is not meant to be a bashing thread so if you want to PM me that would be fine as well.

I'm looking to keep this a moderate build and keeping my Revhard style kit and not looking to exceed 400 whp and I know many of you will say I can do this with a stock bottom end, but after having this 2nd engine blow, I'd rather pay for a built bottom end that can handle a boost spike rather than another stock engine. I'm pretty sure it was an overboosting issue that killed my 2nd engine.

In any case, any info or suggestions would be sweet.

Cheers.

What failed in your engine? If it was the rod bearings then you probably just need an F22 instead of an F20. They are much less prone to failure.

Anyways, if you're hell bent on getting a built motor I'd suggest InlinePro to build a motor for you. They seem to be pretty good.
I know what you're saying. I've had two tuners, one for each engine and after each tune for each engine they were both running really well. The F20 lasted 7 months of hard, hell bent driving and the F22 lasted 2 months of the same.

At this point, I'm just a bit frustrated and have taken into account that something in the turbo kit might be the cluprit and I'm leaning more towards the wastegate; however, I have no proof yet seeing that I haven't torn down the engine or looked at the wastegate, but that's the only thing I can theorize.

I'm not doing anything just yet as to avoid any temerity in my decision, but I do want to get a heads up of some of my options. Getting an entire engine is easy enough but pricey, but then again so is blowing it up again. We have good tuners here in my city but their lack in tuning S2K's is the issue I guess if it is truly a tuner problem. I want to weight out getting a new engine or getting a bottom block built. I am also going to ditch out on my current wastegate and re evaluate my tune. Like I said in my other post, I need to tear down both blocks, but it's just timing right now. I'm super busy and to be honest, I've never pulled an engine out of a vehicle so I guess it's about time I learn!! haha
