Bunch of Question
I got my turbo in some time ago, and have gone through a few problems, I had cooling problems, so I changed the radiator, fans, and head gasket. Now I seem to have some new problems. I just got the car tuned, but all the plugs when I pull them are white on the tips ( Lean ) When I pull the 4th cylinder plug it is still wet with fuel. I tried moving the coil packs around and starting it, still the same, the 4th cylinder is still wet.
When I start the car it bogs, so I shut it off. After about 3 attempts to start it it finally starts up normal. Once I get the car on the road it runs like a champ.
Could this be an ignition problem where it needs more spark?
Anyone ever use the AEM CDI system?
I am current using V-Power copper plugs with a 8 heat range gapped at .025

Move the #4 injector to another cylinder to see if the injector is leaking down. If you have a fuel pressure gauge installed, it should drop after the key is turned off, fairy quick. (if the injector is leaking)
The injector won't hold fuel pressure. Dirt in the needle/pintle/disc or whatever kind of nozzle you have in the tip. The leaking fuel will drip into the combustion chamber and puddle which will foul the plug.
Leaking down means the fuel at pressure in the system is released through the injector while not running. I is not a big issue usually. Mine leaks down and once in a while it will backfire before starting.

Ok so I found out what is causing the bogging at startup, I had fuel on the plugs when Tried to start it up. I thought ok Maybe the Injectors were leaking, so I took the injectors back to Rc eng. No leak on them, they came out 100%. I have a aftermarket fuel rail from BDL, ( rc said that that could not cause that problem. ) Any other ideas?
I've seen a similar problem from a headgasket that was leaking coolant into the cylinders. I overheated the motor. Then it began starting hard and running rough/bogging when first started. If restarted when hot, no problems. During running, no real problems. Eventually, it got worse and worse. When Tobi pulled the head off, he found the #4 cylinder wall was scored (probably from the overheating) and the #1 and #4 cylinders were badly leaking coolant with the #4 being the worst. The plugs and pistons in the cylinders with the problem looked white even though it was running perfect a/f ratios due to the coolant.
