I just replaced my head gasket less then 1000 miles ago. I hope its not that again. Any other ideas since I just replaced my head gasket. I also took it for a test drive runs great once again, but once I come to idle, and sit for a second it runs rough from 1-3 rpm ( bogging sound ) and then runs fine.

Try doing a leakdown.

yeah thought about that, but cant really get the car anywhere without towing it. I will probably look into that this week. Also one other question, I have a AEM 3.5 bar Map , could that cause the bogging as well?

Not unless you were like me and put it in forgetting you'd have to tell the EMS you changed sensor.

ok so I got a leak down test done today, and I have a leak. Still puffin white smoke at idle, no more rough idle though. Gonna take out that freakin head gasket again, and use ARP head bolts this time around, A machine shop also recommened to torque it a little more then stock specs when boostin hard, and feedback on that?

The machine shop doesn't know jack.

Overtightening the bolts or studs can cause the bolt to stretch and fail pematurely. Stock headbolts tightened with torque angle are tightened up to the yield point, to achieve to max clamping force available.

You need to have both the head and block checked for straightness.

will do last time I had the head checked to make sure it was straight, but did not have the block checked out. Will have to have them both checked.

when they have a pressure fitting on the radiator, to see if its holding pressure . is that just a pressure test? thats what they did yesterday,a dn found out that it is loosing pressure over time, and he said if the car was running it would lose alot more. So confusing.

Pressure testing the cooling system is not the same as a cylinder leakdown test. It is testing for leaks in the cooling system.

If you pressurize the cooling system and coolant can be seen entering the chamber via a empty spark plug hole, you know the head gasket seal is bad.

A leakdown test pressurizes the cylinders 1 at a time, with much more pressure than a cooling system pressure tester. When you pressurize the cylinder with the piston at TDC, you check for air escaping past either the valves, rings or headgasket.

Air leak heard from open throttle = leaking intake valve
Air leak heard from exhaust pipe = leaking exhaust valve
Air leak from oil filler cap = ring seal or hole in piston (some air leakage is normal from rings)

Air bubbles coming out of open radiator cap= blown headgasket/cracked head

wow very informational. Now I just gotta find somewhere that can do it locally.

One other question though. If when I did the pressure test through the radiator cap, and it started loosing pressure little by little what does that mean then?

Thanks For all the helpful infoby the way
