It actually pretty good clearence everywhere except compressor outlet. I worry what s gonna happen when engine torques... John said it s gonna be ok so I'll just hope for it.
This is a complete custom. I would go with 7163 and that would be even better fit. But it is what it is. Will tune it somehow and get some dynos some time soon hopefully...

What's up with all of the straight cuts welded together on the manifold? Why not the smooth radius for optimal flow? Is this just their style they like to use when making manifolds to give it a different look?

It'll be a cool setup regardless being it'll look stealth. Good luck and keep us posted on how it runs.

I think the "issue" is that it's a one-off manifold, and thus they probably don't/can't spend as much time as some might want making everything perfect. Would it be nicer w/ smooth radius bends? Sure. I called LHT to inquire and it's a one off so you can't buy another one. Someone else make a nice manifold in this style (to fit a 7163 would be fine for me) and take my money.

Yeah I actually regret I didn't go for 7163. I highly doubt I'll ever go beyond 550 and 7163 would spool faster and would have some more clearence around. This mani can probably be modded but certainly I'm not doing it any time soon. Anyway, my current problem is unability to adjust spring tention and with the way it is currently set I'm only getting 4 psi boost.

Btw this is how my bay looks now as I applied heat wrap and some more reflective to firewall.

Bay behind firewall now stays really cool. I can hold firewall with my hand right after drive.

I asked John to make me a custom turbo kit, and he wasn't interested. He must like you.

Perhaps this is because of me he doesn't want to deal with it anymore
As you can see this project is class of its own. I designed it and wanted it in specific way. They ignored some things I asked for, and did some things I didn't ask for. We had some issues for that.

I'm yet to discover whether outcome will fit my needs.

On a good side, welding looks good and I have no doubts pieces will work for year and years. Also design is very sturdy since it has short arms and turbo is additionally bolted to the engine via 4mm SS rack.
