I took my entire blower assembly off to install the Sideways lock nut.

Ughh.. I'm planning on doing some upgrades soon so I will do lock nut when I install them! I don't drive that much anyways..

Do you remember what size the bolt is that is on the pulley?

Nothing was tuned. There may be some hidden potentials when it is tuned. Unfortunately, I will be adding lots of other stuff when next tune comes around so I wont be able to find out

thanks to everyone who put this together.ill take another 14hp,might have been a bit more if your supercharger belt was slipping so much.

Awesome!! I'm definitely going to get these as well. I'm at 406whp now so wouldn't be surprised if I could see 20whp gain with them!!

Thanks so much for testing them!!

Fantastic results with 10 ft lbs torque and 14 rwhp at 8.65 psi. All this from a little cam adjustment. Looks like it's time for the SOS crowd to step up and try them out.

I'm glad things worked out for you. The butt dyno will notice 10 ftlbs of torque anyday.

The original Vortech lock nut was 3/4 inch.

The belt tightening procedure is a multi step process.

From under the car, release the nut on the arbor holding the pulley by about 1/4 turn.

Adjust with the adjuster screw accessed from the top to move the arbor. Counter clockwise to tighten.

When tension is where you want it, set the pulley nut to lock it in.

I find myself climbing under the car about 6 or 10 times checking the tension to adjust the belt just right.

A good long handled 9/16 open ended wrench will make it simple with the new nut.

Yes, you do need to pull the supercharger to put the new nut on.

Don't make the belt tension too tight or the supercharger input shaft bearings will go out.

Again, Congratulations on the good results and having the follow thru to get there.

Sung,

Congrats on finding some added power! Seems to me that they should give you a refund on the labor you paid when the keys were obviously installed incorrectly.

I went back a few pages & noticed that you are running a Vortech SC V2 w/ 3.55in Reichard Racing Pulley. I would expect you would see MUCH more than 9.5psi of boost with the 3.55 pulley. The boost is linear so I don't see this as a belt slip issue (but I am uncertain). Comments anyone?

This concerns me as I just installed a 4" pulley on my Vortech V2 & hoping to see ~12psi. It is my understanding the 4.5" pulley i took off was ~9.5psi. The next open appointment opening for my tuner is Feb 8 (ugh!) so I have some time to install these keys. I would like to hit 400hp if possible.

I am using FMIC. FMIC + belt slip = Also, I am AP2 so my redline is lower.

I've been driving around tonight.. and I BELIEVE I can tell the difference in power xD

Superb great results, one question is will the original tune be out and will i likely need to adjust my AFR and ignition timing??? - I'd imagine so.

I might consider doing this, but really don't have anymore duty cycle left.

Lastly how long did it take to remove the cam's, adjust them and put back in?

Cheers
