I'm kind of salty you don't get the kick and sound of vtec with FI lol nothing else like it sound/feel.
You do if you’re SC. I blew two diffs in 1 year from too hard of a vtec hit before I figured out that vtec at the stock engagement point on a 350whp+ is too much and needs to be lowered to save the drivtrain. You may have heard the term "Super vtec" the guys mention after intalling thier base 280whp Comtech kits. Run it up another 75-150whp and see what happens.

Lowering vtec engagement is allot cheaper. I miss the kick though, but really its better becuase it produces allot more midrange power this way.

Honda should invent a 2 stage vtec so you can just have everything you ever dream of. Maybe one day.

psh...you shouldn't need it.

The kick from a turbo spooling is 10x the kick of VTEC.

Honda owns the VTEC technology and you will most likely never see it in any other non-Honda vehicle. The technologies that try and come close to resemble Honda's VTEC technology are things like Mitsu's MIVEC or Toyota's VVT and they still arent VTEC. Their technology is just the cam timing adjustment much like the "i" in the newer VTEC. VTEC pretty much dominates everyone else in regards to implementing great fuel economy and tameness in mild mode with a high reving, high hp killer in wild mode.
The 2ZZ-GE in Toyota Celicas and Corolloa Sportivo/T-Sports which has VVTL-i (note L for lift) functions almost identically to VTEC.

Only the method by which it engages the high lift cam is slightly different. If you think VTEC kicks in, check out a typical 2ZZ-GE graph http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/uplo..._1126836629.jpg

Can't wait to have the feeling. Just need somebody to buy my GTO. Cars just don't sell like they used to.

Yeah. No problem selling a cheap car, but anything over 10 grand is a tough sell.

Those 05 GTO's are always tough to move though....
