Judging by those specs ap1 intake, ap2 exhaust would provide the best flow.

Hey Guys,

I am taking my car in to be tuned within the next 2 months and am looking to switch up my setup a little. I have read that people have said the AP1 intake cam has more duration, and should in theory yield some power on an AP2. I am just about to pick up a set up ap1 cams, and was wondering if anyone had actually gotten some results. Specifically on a turbo setup, as i have one currently.

I was originally going to do just the AP1 intake cam, but was wondering if maybe i should do both? It would be interesting to see if my dyno, and compare it to how it was when it was originally tuned... Maybe reving it to 9k?

Anyone with any experience or Info would appreciated!
Havent you learned by now? Everything AP1 breaks down
Stick with AP2

I'm sure it does somewhat, higher lift on the s2k head = higher flow. It looks like the AP1 flows more on the intake, less on the exhaust, and the AP2 is the other way around. You combine the two of them maybe you get the both of best worlds? Who really knows.

I have a set of AP2 cams sitting in the garage waiting for your findings
are you planning on doing both intake and exhaust or exhaust only?

i am going to keep my AP2 Exhaust cam, and run the AP1 intake cam.

I have already installed it, and am just waiting for my tune... I do have the old dyno graph from what the motor made, but i am also changing the exhaust, so it will skew the findings. Maybe I'll see if i can change the cams at the dyno, and see how it does... Evan's tuning is rather expensive though...
