Nice exhaust. Looks like an early Spugen design

When we first got the pulley in. After injectors and new plugs, I made 315.

Thanks for the info and Pics on the exhaust. Yours looks great. I think I am going to do this. I think piping is 2.5 inches though. Shame the search is down. I remenber there is a thread with the part #.

Why thank you! Maybe Spugen just chopped up stock ones for their early versions!

Actually that is exactly what they did. i wanted to keep the helmholtz and mid-pipe muffler to keep things quiet. So far I have had 3 variations of the Spugen exhausts. They all made hp. The mandrel bent dual oval tip system made about 5 hp on the dyno. Pretty impressive stuff.

I really like them. The sound is much deeper than stock, and a bit louder, but nothing like a lot of the aftermarkets. I had the muffler shop make a true Y-section in place of the stock. On the stock Y-section, Honda just smashed the two smaller end pipe and crammed them into the single pipe - which is common for stock piping. Other than the stock mufflers, this would be the most restrictive area of the stock cat back. The rest of the stock piping is rather straight and free flowing!

Here's some pics:

MagnaFlow (forgot the part number, but it's the straight through design with 2.25 inlet/outlet I think.) Used the stock tips, which they tack welded to hold in place better.

The new Y-pipe

I had the magnaflows done this morning. They do sound good ! I did not have the Y pipe done.

Headin to the beach!
