if you can get the car to idle check your ignition timing as well. can you put a fuel pressure gauge on the vehicle this will tell you if the regulator is bad.

my brother has a snap on vantage pro he's bringing over saturday to work on it. he can test the fuel pressure and check the timing with his light. will idle for a little bit but not too great

just out of curiosity? Maybe the plug wires were swaped around but then again that would make the car missfire.
