Default car is randomly shutting off?

alright so back in decemeber,

i swapped in a

inline pro built block 9:1Cr
sidewinder style manifold
gt3071
Aem Ems

tuned on 94,

Car ran fine first 2 days, then filled it up, as i left the gas station, it kind of hesitated, but then drove fine. 30 blocks later it died in the middle of the intersection. tried starting it again but no go- got it towed home and then later back to the shop,

at the shop it ran fine, we even put it on the dyno,

fast forward to this week, car does the exact same thing- but i leave it over night and it drives fine.

the shop is kinda stumped, any one else experiences problems like this?

I actually bought the engine/turbo kit used, and previous owner had no problems with it.

Any help is greatly apprciated

I once had this same problem and it turned out to be corroded connections on the ECU. Try un plugging and replugging back in the ECU. Which AEM are you using and was it used.

Crank walk will cause this also. My buddies EVO would have weird idle and die every once in a while but he could never figure out what it was causing it. It did this for a couple months and then one day it died on him again, as ususl, he went to start it and it did a one crank and then locked up. Took it to his shop to get looked at and guess what, thrust bearing was shattered, it crank walked and it finally got bound and locked up. Hopefully this isnt your case but you never know. Easy way to find out is to have someone push and pull on the crank as you hold the clutch depressed. Measure this play if you can but if you feel quite a bit of movement in the crank, thats not good.

Sounds like either a vacuum leak, or possible fuel leak. Look in all the small spots. Could possibly be that u arent getting enough fuel to the engine which is causing it to do (or vice versa with not enough air)...Just check the small things first, then go from there.

my old AEM box had a problem---whenever i hit a big bump the car would shut off. it wasn't the connections on mine, it was the box. but check your connections then try tapping the box while the car is running, see if that makes it stall/shut off.
