Thumbs up cast or ramhorn

i am having a guy make me a turbo for my S2k and i would think a ramhorn manifold would be a better buy for my car than a cast one

The cast will be a lot cheaper. You will likely be spending lots anyways and a manafold isn't some place you want to go cheap. Get the ramhorn.

Precision made mine. But I hear borg warner makes a pretty good turbo.

Tubulars are better hands down, but they are also less durable than a cast one, and more expensive. Thats the usual story.

My opinion? Go tubular, I am doing that for my next project.
I myself value efficiency alot. My manifold will be home built tho, and i bet it is hard to find a manifold that fits in the honda unless its designed to fit in the honda.

basically what s2kswe said. the tubular style will outperform the normal cast style. one guy on here went from a GT30R with inlinepro's cast manifold to a GT35R on full-race's tubular manifold and the bigger turbo spooled up the same way the smaller turbo did on the less efficient manifold.

there's several manifolds that you can get that will fit the S2000 and it might be the same or cheaper than the custom shop's labor and parts. there's full-race, love-fab, and central florida turbo just to name a few. I'm getting Mase's turbo kit which runs a tubular manifold, I don't know if he'll be selling the manifolds separately or not though.

There are cast(log), tubular, and equal length tubular which are mostly custom.

The equal length tubular ones that the high power guys have been running lately are putting down the impressive numbers.

The other downside I have read about was the tubular manidfold produce much more heat that can melt stuff. I do think it's the way to go to make good power by far.
