Not sure if Soulicious hardwired his or not, but if he didn't that could be the difference between his 58 PSI versus my 64 PSI base pressure. Hardwiring the pump makes a bit of a difference in the true voltage that the pump sees; maybe takes it from 12V to 13.2V or something like that. So you will pick up some additional flow from hardwiring it. But I wouldn't expect hardwiring the pump has caused my base pressure to go from 43 to 64; that's a big jump in pressure.

I guess if I had stuck with my old s**tty noisy Whinebro 255 I might not be in this situation. The lower flow of that pump versus the Aeromotive 340 would have probably kept me in the operating range of the stock FPR... I just couldn't take the noise anymore!

At least a fuel rail and aftermarket FPR aren't big bucks. I am interested to see if that will fix your problem.

I mentioned to you in the forced induction chat thread that I have an OEM AP1 fuel setup in my AP2 with an AEM 320 fuel pump and I think my base fuel pressure is around 61psi. Unfortunately I don't have a gauge to confirm. From reading and asking around this doesn't seem to be out of the norm.

Yeah, and you can use the AEM FPR with the stock fuel rail, which is what I plan to do. So AEM FPR for $130ish ain't bad, as long as it will fix my issue!

I went ahead and bought the AEM FPR. I'll check the return lines this weekend just to make sure there's nothing wrong with those. FPR should be here Monday otherwise. I'll have an OEM FPR up for sale soon if anyone is looking for one, lol.

My fuel pump is hardwired too. I had to use the large gold orifice in the AEM FPR.

Fpr may fix it. But the 340 is rather large. Instead of buying a part to fix it i would have tgrown the 255 back in. Another thing to consider is if the return line is too small the aem fpr may not 100% fix tge problem.

However i have a feeling it will.

Yeah, if there were a reputable lower flowing pump that is the same "style" pump as the Aeromotive (that makes it so much quieter than the Walbro) then I would have gone that route. I had the Walbro for a year or so, and that was a year too much. I run the stock exhaust, so the pump noise was just too overpowering.

Sounds like Soulicious is running my setup but with the AEM FPR and was successful in getting his base pressure back down to 43 PSI. Fingers crossed it'll work out for me too.

good luck dude, you have had minor fuel issues for a year! Just wonder if you have some sort of blockage in your return line. Anyway you can blow it out? Guess that would be a last resort if the AEM does not fix you up.
