^ I would not only get an FPR, I would highly recommend hardwiring the pump so that you actually put to use what you paid for (and consistency).

My tuner told me not to purchase a fpr or rail since the stock stuff will work fine. And I'm shooting for 600 whp with a walbro 416 e85 pump and id1300. The pump will be wired in tho.

Have him verify pressure for you. That is a BIG pump for a stock FPR.

ok fellas I checked my fuel pressure so on my car I have an areomotive 340 pump and areomotive rail mount fpr with id1000 injectors aemv1 ems the pump is wired with relay. in my sig you can see my write up on the install. so at idle I have 34psi static 43psi and I can regulate down till the car dies so not sure what the difference is on your setup. glad you got it right I just wonder if you have some other problem. I have read that there is a filter built into the pump housing and it can cause weird stuff. on my old car I was running out of fuel above 8-9 psi with an emanage stock fpr walbro 255 on relay and rc650cc injectors I then swapped in a fullblown 290 and it helped some but at 11 psi I was still running out of fuel. on this car at stock pressure I am at 47% duty cycle at 9-10psi so your problem is strange

The difference is that you have the Aeromotive FPR already installed. That is what is allowing you to achieve the 43 psi base pressure. If you had the stock FPR like I did when I was having my issue, you would have the same issue as well. As soon as I replaced my stock FPR for the AEM FPR the issue was resolved. Thanks for your post; it further verifies that in order to achieve a stock-level base pressure (43 PSI) with a high output pump like the 340, an aftermarket FPR is likely required.

ok I guess I misunderstood I thought you had the aromotive fpr also. this is good info I wonder if the walbro can cause problems with the stock fpr
