Sounds like Soulicious is running my setup but with the AEM FPR and was successful in getting his base pressure back down to 43 PSI. Fingers crossed it'll work out for me too.
Why not the Fullblown 290lph pump?

Do you think I this is from hardwiring the pump to the battery? I just used the harness in the stock hanger when I installed my pump. Hopefully there is enough voltage getting to it.
Not sure if Soulicious hardwired his or not, but if he didn't that could be the difference between his 58 PSI versus my 64 PSI base pressure. Hardwiring the pump makes a bit of a difference in the true voltage that the pump sees; maybe takes it from 12V to 13.2V or something like that. So you will pick up some additional flow from hardwiring it. But I wouldn't expect hardwiring the pump has caused my base pressure to go from 43 to 64; that's a big jump in pressure.

I guess if I had stuck with my old s**tty noisy Whinebro 255 I might not be in this situation. The lower flow of that pump versus the Aeromotive 340 would have probably kept me in the operating range of the stock FPR... I just couldn't take the noise anymore!
I didn't read the whole thing but if it matters Im running a FBM340 and I ran out of fuel on e85 I hard wired my pump and the base fuel pressure jumped from 75psi to 100+ and we had to adjust the fpr down a lot.

I will check my fuel pressure as I have the exact same fuel setup relay powered 340 pump areomotive fpr id 1000 injectors 9psi novi 1000 my01 now I had an my00 and it was running out of fuel no matter what I did I thing the pump housing may have been the problem was running 11 psi and was maxing out the injectors on this one I am at 45% duty cycle

Thanks for the comments everyone, it helps to confirm the hope that I just need an adjustable FPR to bring the base pressure down.

I guess I didn't realize when I was buying that there were pumps as quiet in operation as the Aeromotive 340 with a lower flow rate.

I installed the AEM FPR today with the larger gold orifice fitting and immediately my base fuel pressure was down to the standard 43 PSI. Thanks again soulicious for your advice.

I'll post after hitting the dyno again to confirm that this fixed my top-end issues, but I'm pretty sure it will.

Good to hear you were able to get your base pressure down. Hopefully things go smooth for you on the dyno!

I had a feeling that would fix your issue. I have dealt with the same thing on a different car, probably 10 years ago. Idle pressure was high as the stock FPR could not flow enough and then when the injectors started using the fuel at WOT, the pressure dropped... Which is the exact opposite of what you want. To add to that, this car applied the low load fuel trims to the WOT in the same load regions and made the AFR uncontrollable (it was pulling lots of fuel).

My NA graph shows just how much fuel the trims had pulled and applied. It's lean most of the way.

Hmm, I have the FB340lph pump and ID1000's going in my car. Wonder if I should spend the $140 on an AEM adjustable FPR... I'm not hard wiring my pump though.
