Default Cheapest route...

To making a 12 second street AP2 on stock internals, stock diff, and pump gas.

would it be turbo, SC, or maybe nitrous (don't think 12s is possible without SC or Turbo)?

i see the prices of various kits, but don't know the *other* costs of each such as engine management, clutch, plugs, etc.

anyone who was in my shoes who did what I'm attempting who can give me some help?

much appreciated.

Sell your car and buy a Vette. Theres no such thing as a Cheap 12 second S2000. Getting boosted will lead to getting a stronger clutch...then while your doing that do the flywheel...then once you get over 300 whp you gotta do the differential. Its one thing after another and there is NO cheap way to do it unless someone else pays for it all for you. Remember these cars were NOT made for drag. Stuff WILL BREAK if being a cheapskate about anything.

.........also didn't you just post a thread about the same thing almost??

depends how you launch. you can have a 12 sec car but if you dont upgrade the diff good luck. you can hit high 12s with 300-350 whp but you need the right launch.

with 350whp, 12s should be easy in a 2800lb s2000.

Buy a good used gt35 kit that someone need out of and hope it's not dorked up with an AEM. Run a 3mm HG and get a good tune. About 5-6K if you do the work yourself and get a new clutch and exhaust. single 3".

cheapest route--go to a junkyard, pop open the hoods of all the S2ks and hope one of them had a turbo or SC kit
