Slowing down & increasing the distance to the cars in front of me cleared in up in a matter of a couple minutes. For the rest of the weekend it never went above about 215 as I recall from looking at the few logs I took. I would definitely be keeping an eye on my coolant temps in the situation you described. Anything over 225 and I'd start taking steps to bring it back down. Too high and you can blow a head gasket or cause other damage. I don't know what temp that starts to become a big concern on our car though. I'm going to be adding an AEM serial gauge soon so I can monitor the exact temp, and have also just setup over temp protection on my EMS so it will limit my revs if coolant goes too high (and did the same for oil temp & pressure).
I have the aem wide band gauge .. To get the middle to read coolant temp I just have to plug it into a laptop ? Did a cruise today had really no heat issues .. But when we stopped for a bout ten minutes then I turned the car on the coolant gauge read high right away .. Then went down wen I start moving
AEM wide band & AEM serial gauge are two different things. The wideband gauge is a dedicated controller/display for your wide band o2 sensor. The serial gauge plugs directly into the EMS to display any data that you program it to (and that the EMS knows). The data is also available if you plug in a laptop & use the dashboard feature in the AEM software - it's just not practical for day-to-day use that way. Thus the serial gauge to always be able to check. I'll have mine setup for oil temp, oil pressure, boost, & coolant temp; with it jumping to any of those automatically if they exceed a preset value, or otherwise cycling through them constantly.

Spent half hour with the car today. Mind you it's been a long time since I've seen the car.

I estimate about 75 percent of the needed air to cool the four unit stack (intercooler/oil cooler/condensor/radiator) was restricted.

Removed grille, lp bracket, and blocked the sides, raising the grille pressure. (The side "funnel" gets removed during kw install, bad move)

This 30% addition to airflow fixed the overheating, and we were able to run around with the ac on no problem.

The other 45% we will recover next week with a new ac condensor, as ALL EIGHT BOTTOM ROWS were sandblasted shut.

In an oem car, this wouldn't matter.

When you add 2 more heat sources to the stack, everything changes.

The list of improvements to be made to this kit is very long.

I always forget to mention this.. I've had 3 s2000's come in with heating issues due to a/c condenser being "plugged" up

The instructions don't address the factory baffles. I assumed that they were there to direct the airflow for cooling. Therefore, I left all of them in and cut holes in them to make a tight fit around the charge pipes. This is more work than just leaving them out, but it does keep the factory funnel intact to direct the airflow through the radiator.

The "sandblasted shut" ac condenser seems to be common among cars that are tracked. The fins are easily bent by the numerous small rocks that sticky tires kick up at high speed. The intercooler will help keep a new condenser open.

Update ... With new condenser I ran the ac high yesterday in traffic and sat in idle for 5 min and no over heating issue
I'll post the pic of the old condenser here too

Made it to the track this week .. First time since over heating issues .. I was shifting at 7 k all day just to be safe.. Had temps go up 1 bar but went back down when I let off a bit .. Other than that in happy to get her home with no problems thank god .. Small steps in getting some confidence back .. Here's a vid ...http://youtu.be/0T9nqIy3O6Q
