Chefs NEW Kraftwerks problem

I would actually touch it with a thermocouple to get a valid reading, but dipping it in the oil will tell you more than measuring the outside. Still, it's a good argument for adding a heat shield between the can & exhaust system.

So I'm beyond pissed right now. I just had the overheat issue happen to me. I was on the highway in shore traffic so I put the AC on cause we were moving less than 30mph and its 90 some degrees out. I looked down all of a sudden and saw the water temp was a lot higher than normal so I shut the AC off and it went down. Then I get off of my exit and a mile or two down the road I come to a red light and the car stalls out. My battery is less than a year old so I know it's probably not that. A guy stopped to give me a jump and it still didn't start. My gas was around a 1/4 left maybe a little more, so I figure maybe I'm out of gas somehow. A friend comes out and I put some in, nope not that. I then think to listen for the fuel pump to prime. I turn on the ignition and I don't hear anything. So I don't know what the hell happened where the fuel pump just all of a sudden stopped working. Guess I'll be contacting KW Monday and I'm having my car towed to the shop that installed it now, UGH!!

My battery is less than a year old. It was cranking, but wouldn't turn over. It actually turned out to be a burnt out fuel pump fuse, but why would it blow in the first place? Of course I figured it out right as the tow truck arrived, but oh well.
As far as the overheating issue, I'm not sure what to make of that. Yes, I still have the stock radiator and cooling system. Is upgrading this the only answer to the overheating issue?

Yes, my issue happened all of a sudden. I'm not on the highway much in my car and usually the AC isn't on either, so it could have possibly always been and issue, but the combination of factors never aligned until today. I was doing some stop and go driving before hand, top down, AC off. I got onto the highway and hit some shore traffic and in 90+ heat I was doing less than 30mph for a little while so I put the AC on. I'm not quite sure how quickly the water temp rose up after turning the AC on, but after maybe 5-10 min I looked at the gauge and noticed the bars were up over half of the gauge so I shut the AC. Within a few minutes the water temp dropped back down to normal level. When I drive it this week I'll have to check it out again and see if it happens, though I won't be on he highway, just rural type driving.

Maybe a bigger fan shroud would be the answer to move the air better, but from what I've read on here before the stock cooling system actually does a really good job. I'd hate to spend the money on a new radiator and fan setup for it to do the same thing. Yes, my issue happened all of a sudden.
