I don't need 10k to build a GOOD turbo kit. i just want a good kit and i can save for all of the other parts!! 5k will get me a kit EASY. just looking thru S2ki there isn't a single WHOLE kit selling for even 7K so 10k is crazyness. there is a shop here that does really good exhaust work ie. welding for cheap.
gamble:
damn i guess all i need is an intercooler now and ill be boosted to 550
damn thanks for the advice

Base Turbo Kit Capible of 600WHP.............$5,000
Clutch (Parts Only)...................................$600
AEM w/ Wideband, Boost Solenoid.............$1,200
Exhaust........................................... ........$600
Injectors......................................... .........$400
Fullblown Dual Hanger...............................$1000
Rail & Regulator........................................$ 400
Heat Management / Accessories / Misc..........$500
Tune.............................................. ..........$600
=================================
Total............................................. ...........$10,300
As for the turbo kit if you want 600WHP you will need a ELT or other tubular manifold, the IP Street kit will not get past 550WHP. Even if you did purchase the base kit you would get the 5965, which would not get you past 500WHP. You will need to step up to a 6265 or comparable.
Second you will also need to purchase or build an oil filter relocation kit with is at least another $250 to $350.
Third, there is also no gaskets included, heat management, T-bolt clamps, spark plugs, oil cooler bypass hose, HD PCV valve and several other little parts.
Then you will need to get exhaust flanges, flex section, piping and have it all fabricated to meet up to the cat back.
Last but not least is to find a good tuner.
I can tell you that the parts you do get are done very well and defiantly do work.
If you are looking for a cheap VERY clean kit you may want to take a look at TrboKev's IP kit. Make him an offer minus the EMS and I bet he will cut you a hell of a deal. This is really the only used kit on the boards I would suggest right now.

Other things to keep in mind are some of the other parts on the car that are close the limits that will eventually break or have problems. One example are the valves, the exhaust warp very easily (though E85 will help prevent warpage) and of course there are the weak retainers on the AP1. If you plan to launch the car the differential will be running on borrowed time.
All I can say is trust me on this one you have to be VERY careful when you go FI as there is a lot of deceit out there, some intentional and some not.
Heres my breakdown of costs.
InlinePRO stage 2 kit: 5000
Bullshit should-have-been-with-the-kit billet wheel upgrade: 300
puddydad EGR blockoff which should have been with the kit: 15
t-bolt clmaps which should have been with the kit: 100
hiring a friend to cut and tig new aluminum to make the intercooler fit: 100
InlinePRO exhaust bought used: 500
InlinePRO oil relocation kit: 230 (I can't fully remember what I paid Scott, but think thats right)
3" stainless steel piping, flange, and new gaskets from Columbia mandrel bends: 100
Paying my friend to tig weld everything for me: 250
DEI heat shielding: 60
Full Blown dual walbro hanger: 399
2 Walbro pumps: 89 each = 178
ID2000 injectors with plug and play clips: 1019
FPR: 250
Various fuel lines and fittings: 300
AEM EMS: 875
MAC boost solenoid: 35
Hondata 4 bar MAP sensor: 125
Tune: 500
Total: 10,336 dollars.
It took that much to hit 579whp with some ignition issues which is lower than your goal of 600whp. I just spent 760 dollars on an ignition box and 248 dollars on CDI coils for the box to get more horsepower which brings my grand total to 11,344 dollars. This is still with a completely stock AP1 engine.
Good luck hitting 600whp with your 5000 dollar budget.
EDIT: I forgot to add on top of that, that I paid 50 dollars for a set of low mileage RSX coil packs.

this is my dream but idk about 600 or 750WHP ill settle something lower and build my self up. but i have a spare diff now i just need to build it been looking around for gears but no luck yet
tranny i know nothing about but if i break 400whp ill upgrade my draftshaft and i'm sure ill upgrade my diff as soon as i get gears. but ur set up is what i'm going for but just not that much power YET! ill work my way up slowly.
ok i know i still have alot to buy but if i can pick up a used kit like the one scott suggested i think ill be good. i'm not looking to go 600WHP RIGHT NOW yes its a future goal. i already have the aem ems so thats a plus. i'm not going to put the turbo kit on unless i have everything ready like a clutch and whatever else i need for this inlinepro kit that Scott's friend is selling.
i'm currently building a diff.
what build would you suggest for the diff?
lets say if i bought this kit from Scott's friend? what would i need?
besides the clutch lol

idk what kit scotts friend is selling but im a fan of the r200 diff. swap which i have and from what i seen i have had the longest rpm range outta the friends i know with reg. diffs. and those with gears, i mean im not in vtec at 75 mph like i know a few people but again its a little costly and its how you wanna build it cuz i want as long as a gear i can get but thats hard to find for an s2k lol
ok thanks for the advice i want a R200 diff but that the kit is a pretty penny maybe later on. i guess i have to wait and see i still have awhile before i go boost. but here is the link https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=831361
