Default Comp Clutch Twin Plate Clutch

Just started my car up for the first time after the new build. Clutch seems to be dragging constantly? Anyone else had the same problem. Does the hydraulic release bearing unit need backspacing? Or does the pedal pivot for the cylinder need adjustment. Seems like we could do with 10mm more pedal travel for it to engage properly?? Hmmm

I've been using it for the last 2 years and have about 2,500 miles with out any issues. Maybe check adjustment or call Dan @ Competition Clutch. Great customer service.

Did you use the s2k flywheel bolts and the spacer ring? If so you need to use B series fly wheel bolts and no ring. If you use the s2k bolts and ring it doesn't leave enough room for the plates to fully disengage.

Very interesting efi2nr! We used the stock ring and bolts. Instructions didn't say to remove the ring so I guess we just assumed...

I'll give dan a quick call anyway. Thanks guys!

I'm using the ring washer and stock flywheel bolts with no problems for over a year.

I have a 1000hp comp twin with hydro bearing. When I put mine together I couldn't get the clutch to full disengage so it would grind trying to go in any gear. We pulled the tranny and found the back disk had been rubbing on the tops of the flywheel bolt heads. The B series bolts are shorter by about the same as the thickness of the ring so we put mine back together with out the ring using "23" bolts. No more problems. The OPs problem sounds the same
