Default Comptech Installation

Hi All,

Is it possible to Install a Comptech S/C gradually , having the car drivable during this process.

The only thing which comes to my mind is the Pulley.

What about the fuel pump ?

Thanks

Yes, no boost, no need for the stuff that's associated with boost, so as long as the belt stays off, you can put almost everything else on in stages and continue to drive the car. Just make it has filtered air.

thanks XV.

the extra fuel pressure with the uprated fuel pump won't be a problem then .

That's correct. The new fuel pump will pump at the higher rate and pressure, but the regulator only responds to boost.

Trip,

I did the fuel pump early on, it will still only use what it needs.

Have a look at mine and also Xvipers post, we did things in different orders so you can pick and choose.

Im currently driving with the blower and aftercooler on, but no belt and no oil supply. Not ideal and you cant go fast at all, but I need to use the car inbetween installing.

He's probably like I was. I just didn't have the time to dedicate to this all at once and I didn't want to tie my car (daily driver) up that long. Not all of us are impatient. Besides, for one single person doing this work, it can take a whole weekend of 10 to 12 hours days. Sorry, I've got other things to do on my weekends. Also, it has been reported more than on one ocassion, that rushing this has resulted in mistakes - mistakes that took much more time to backtrack and fix.
