Thanks.

The stock one should slide right off once you loosen the bolt. I put a wrench on the bolt holding the blower blades and loosened the bolt holding the pulley. You have to take off the whole SC to do this.

I held the pulley with a modified oil filter wrench, held it a treat.

It is possible to change the pulley without removing the SC although you do need two people to achieve this.
Using some large grips and some rag you can hold the pulley still enough to loosen the bolt without damaging the pulley. Then loosen the top three bolts off on the SC and you can pull the SC forward enough to slide the pulley back.
We took the pin out first to allow us to slide the pulley off more freely.
Its not an easy job but we changed the pulley and re-tensioned the SC in 20 minutes.

A counter clock turn will loosen the bolt?

Thanks,

Just a quick update on this, when coming to tighten the pulley bolt DO NOT put a wrench on the bolt holding the blower blades, it will shear off.

Whoops.

Oh no
I used the same method, large grips and cloth to hold the pulley, the bolt has to be tight bu not that tight, the key takes the load so there is little oposing force on the bolt. It just needs to be tight enough to prevent vibration loosening it.
Have you managed to get what's left of the bolt out ?

I just held the pulley and used a rattle gun on the bolt. Came right off. And that's the SC Herbo now has on his car.
