AEM has that new dry flow filter which I do not think has affiliations with K&N, but do not offer the right size.

the comptech filter is actually foam on the outside and k&n style on the inside. like a k&n wrapped in a foam filter. the filter cleaning kit worked wonders on mine, it looks brand new.

I use the K&N cleaner and oil kit on my Comptech filter. I read it was ok but don't remember the thread. Works great so far.

I have both K&N and the UNI kit. but the question Im asking is if its ok to drive the car with a "dry" filter meaning cleaning the foam filter and not oiling it.
