What I would love to do is put the comptech system on then hook up a front mount intercooler and a nice apexi BOV. Can anyone tell me if this is possible?

also can you put a boost controler on the comptech or would you actually have to change the pulley size?

1RandyC is running a front mount air/air unit. I am running a PWR core in a liquid/air system. I am not sure which BOV Randy has. I am using a Tial BOV. So, to answer your question - yes, you can do both.

There is a company in the UK that makes a release valve that has an adjustable release point. This would effectively allow you to blow off boost when it go to a certain level. You would need to run a smaller pulley to generate the higher levels of boost.

I believe I read somewhere that a Novi-1000 will produce 15 PSI, but I could be mistaken. Also, that boost level would be at the max impeller speed - which the Comptech kit is not.

I am not sure what the ranges are for the release valves. I think he makes several models.

Keep in mind that tuning the car for various boost levels is going to be very difficult. You would be best off to run the pulley that makes big boost and see the release valve to release at 8 PSI and then tune. You don't want to be moving that guy around and then retuning.

so it would be pretty much at the same level of boost all the time? Its just i have a bunch of friends with turbos and when ever we race i beat them, and at the next light they sit there and push buttons on thier boost controllers and then whoop my ass. I was just trying to have the same advantage of not always driving on a lot but if i need it to not get under my hood and start changing pulleys.

Correct. The release valve would allow the boost to get to a certain level and then hold steady. You really are not going to find the turbo functionality in a supercharger. It theoretically can be done, but I would think that perhaps a turbo is the way for you to go (if you want to be able to up boost from in the car).

Well i thought in going turbo but i just am scared to blow my engine in getting excited and turnin the boost up to like 20 pounds when i'm really trying to beat someone. Supercharger is safer. What would you recommend?

I know that this is a bit off topic. Believe me, I dont want to whore up a good thread like this, but I am wanting to guage interest in a roots blower, or twin screw kit. I think that an s2000 with the added torque down low would be amazing. A twin screw kit would probably be around 4000-4500. A roots blower kit would probably be around 3500. Just wondering if I am the only one interested.

Imagine a world where the s2000 can spin the tires below 6000RPM

Thanks.
