I just read every post in this thread and this is the most interesting discussion i have ever witnessed. First there are some smart ass dudes in here counting percents and rev vs. hp numbers. genius guys!

Most nitrous systems have a rpm point of where they kick in and most is not until 4-5k. Also if all your doing is running straight line then thats cool for the nitrous car, but if any kind of turns come up, nitrous has to go off, then a little straight away, and are you gonna start pressing the button again? although you may spend $1,000 for an installed spray kit compared to the $5,000 installed SC kit, your still better off saving some more and buying the real thing. I've owened and seen nitrous cars and its so easy to blow the motor. You beat a SC car once and then you go again, and again, and then take some turns, and your constantly using the bottle and trust me that will fry your pistons and melt your valves. I've seen it done, many times.

And also when you say i walked a SC'ed s2k, are you sure he was racing you?

Another question i had, can you put lets say the HKS BOV on the comptech kit and add a front mount intercooler without waiting for comptech to come out with it?

My Vortech car with an HKS exhaust has incredible power, even mid range. You know sometimes you "just get a good one". My S with Vortech is a clean installation, awesome power when driven correctly, smooth and reliable, and will take on and beat most cars on the road on a good day. You can't say that about many other cars that have been only slightly modified.

My 2cents!

A few questions about intakes and exhaust. Those that are running SC's, are you seeing significant gains with headers and exhaust ungrades? If so, which ones?

With the Vortech, some have seen gains with the Spoon header while another has had good luck with the Toda unit. As far as exhaust, I'd say to stick with a single..but then again I'm a little partial to the single exhausts.

Been there and done the pshhhhhhh. It actually got annoying after a while.

If I feel the need, I'll plumb a blowoff valve onto the kit. For now, it stays stock.
