Vortech and Kraftwerks use superior blowers over comptech.
Hmmm...since SOS, Vortech and Comptech superchargers are all Paxton NOVI units I'm not sure I understand how one is better than the other. The Kraftwerks SC is a Rotrex unit, and that is arguably more efficient than the Paxton.

But to the OP...I don't think you can buy a new Comptech SC kit. Comptech went out of business a couple years ago and the name has been bought by a company that is specializing in road race motorsports. Vortech and Science of Speed both make similar systems.

Just to throw it out there, also consider the Stage One Technology (SOT) Roots positive displacement SC. The dyno plots on that system is pretty impressive...the torque curve is superior to those I've seen from the Paxton or Rotrex based kits.

Vortech doesn't use Paxton. Vortech make there own blowers now.

I intend to be there within the next 18 months.

Comptech SC with 3.4" Pulley, After Cooler and AEM engine management.
410 rwhp 252 lbs trq running 4.56 Gears at 12 psi

What are you going to do to get enough flow from the Comptech supercharger?
I don't think it can be done.

I am going with the Novi 1220-SL conversion kit from CT-Engineering. I have spoken with Nate at CT and it's all but on the purchase self. I am also getting a Port and Polish done on the entire top end.

I think the 1220-SL conversion kit is similar to the Vorteck up grade. Where the Novi 1000 delivers up to 500hp, the 1220-SL delivers up to 680hp.

I know you have had good success with the Vorteck; I just didn't like the idea of taping into the oil pan.

Wish me luck!!!

Thank you for answering. Your car was putting down some numbers at the Skunk 2 meet.
