Default Comptech Supercharger Question

Hey S2K family,

I just ordered a CTSC used and I had a question. The guy who had it before was running his setup with the fuel pressure regulator completely open (maxed out). I'll be running my setup stock the way the kit comes. My question is how do I know where to set the comptech FPR so its at its stock setting, like the way it comes if you bought it new? Can I twist it all the way to close and then turn it open a certain amount of times? Please help guys

Are you certain that you have the stock pulley?

Safe: leave it screwed in until you get a tune.

Otherwise, probably 3 threads showing at the top.

Most have found the "stock" setting to be off or in other words too lean from Comptech, def was off when i got mine. There is no such thing as the same setting for all S2000's. I would leave it alone and get on a dyno to see where your at. If you find that it is feeling crappy and too rich running then turn it a half turn at a time until the car responds. You should have a wide band installed on your car, I think your nuts if you don't. $300 is nothing compare to the price of a motor.

yeah at the minimum you should have a wideband to monitor the air/fuel ratio...

Get a fuel pressure gauge to be sure. Do not go by just thread count. Wide band is not a bad idea either.

s2000junky did nail it on the head. I would not put that kit on until you have a wideband installed (king motorsports has a sale going on right now)

I ran my car running lean for a while, i riched it up, and holy cow it was a HUGE difference. and that was only on 4psi....then i had to put tha car away fro winter. Next year is 7psi...cant wait!

Cool thanks guys I was thinking about getting the wideband to make sure anyways. Might as well get a boost and oil pressure gauge to.

S2000junky, don't worry I wouldn't compromise my motor by being cheap lol.
