S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Well I got out late last night for a midnight run accross patten island bridge in florence Alamaba and OMG. Talk about fast, 1-2 gear, sorta feel it. 3rd gear so start feeling that sucking in the seat and 4th gear damn!!! By the time I reached the end of the bridge I was going 150 mph top down, The most I could get before was 138 with the top down. The pull in 4th gear is amazing and I can't wait to see how bigger a difference a 14 psi pulley, standalone, TB, HIC, header, exhaust, R-compound tires, and a SOS clutch. 400+ horsepower has to be flat out ridiculious and i've driven some 2007 mustang GT's and on the high RPM, i'm sorry, but they don't even compare...

My stock 01 s2000 would pull the 3 valve 300 horsepower 4.6 liters when the digits hit triple. As fair as 4.6 GT's, yeah it stomped their ass. I'm convinced at 5 psi, TB, HIC, and exhaust, it would obliderate them.

But i'm taking you guys advice, i'm going to add a high flow cat and throttle body from science of speed, those two upgrades are quite affordable and an improvement of 15-20 horsepower, well is a dang good improvement for 400 dollars. Plus, the power increase will only multiply as the boost is increased further. 7-10 horsepower from a TB at 5.5 psi could equal 15-20 hp at 14 psi.

So what high flow cat do you guys recommend? A universal?

Berk makes a nice HFC, if you have emissions id get that, but if no emissions i would get a test pipe, just my preference, i have Berk Ceramic coated Headers, Invidia Test Pipe (also berk HFC), and skunk2 megapower, all 70mm. Silencer in its only slightly deeper than stock in sound, and i love the aggression in the tone.

I've got the Berk HFC and the SOS TB. Happy with both; zero issues. If you like what you have now, a 14psi pulley will blow your mind. Night and day different!

Absolutely correct. The only kit available for our cars uses the MP62. A larger blower like the M90 or some of the TVS's would be crazy awesome. Wish a kit like that existed...

Definitely, I miss the addictive sounds of the Eatons blower inefficiency. (that sound is the result of friction I believe)

Should I get the 70mm HFC or the standard size?

Last question, is it possible to adjust the fuel regulator, I got a wideband coming so if its too rich (10.5-1) then I can lean it out to 11.5)

I was looking at that new Kraftwerks Rotrex Supercharger kit and that looks like, at 6,000 dollars and 10 psi. Everybody would be ging that route. Is there something of a bit of a big drawback or what?

If possible, can somebody forward this message to a moderator and tell them to change the title to "Comptech Supercharger a great product."

Which raises the question, a clutch replacement is obvious now what about traction upgrades? I like any of the factory Honda wheels, particulary the ap1's... But, what width/traction wear rating would you recommend at those levels.

To give an update, I finished the plumbing to the air/water incooler and the pump all that stuff is go, with the exception that added a 2.5 quart reservoir as I felt that, on the street, a little extra volume will prevent rapid heat soak. That little heatexchanger is indeed small, but is more than sufficient for street purposes where hard runs will be followed by 5-10 minute or longer delays.
ask your self how much power you want. go 1200 blower, 14ish psi, bigger heat exchanger or possibly fmic, aem ems, id1000 or bosch 900 injectors. NO thicker headgaskt. god when will that godforsaken fad die.

should make well over 400whp on a dynojet then tune for e85, bigger injectors, more fuel pump and make near 500whp.

as for tires, ill say the same thing i say in everyones thread, R MOTHER f@#kING COMPS or DRAG RADIALS. star specs and re11's are great tires, but cant hold this kinda power in 1st, 2nd, sometimes even third gear
Any ideas on a good Comps or Drag Radials?

That is exactly what I would like to know. I want to keep my car as clean and oem necessary. And, back in my Miata, days. We learned quick like that wider tires never really improved the car overall at stock power levels. (Most of the time, the improvements were cosmetic, and disimprovements were things like bump steer, heavier unsprung weight, incorrect offsets, the whole deal)

So what size tire do I need to run at 14 psi? Can I competition/street grade tire, such as the Toyo RA1, sufficient for 340+ horsepower in a 235-245 16 inch tire providing that will fit on AP1 rear tires? If I have too, I will upgrade to AP2 2004-2005 wheels. Which allow wider rubber, but at a thinner sidewall...

Stock size AP2 wheels & decent summer tires (245/40/17) are more than enough for a ~400whp supercharged S2K... its not thaaaat powerful. This is for the street of course, on the track Im no expert.
