S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Comptech Supercharger, very dissappointed!

Which raises the question, a clutch replacement is obvious now what about traction upgrades? I like any of the factory Honda wheels, particulary the ap1's... But, what width/traction wear rating would you recommend at those levels.

To give an update, I finished the plumbing to the air/water incooler and the pump all that stuff is go, with the exception that added a 2.5 quart reservoir as I felt that, on the street, a little extra volume will prevent rapid heat soak. That little heatexchanger is indeed small, but is more than sufficient for street purposes where hard runs will be followed by 5-10 minute or longer delays.

The entire sc setup installation is definitely a full day job if not a full weekend. With several things that have to be tackled...

Now what's the biggest pulley you can go before you have to run a full standalone?

Lastly, could te limitations of the roots blower be due to the displacement of the rotor housing. We run eaton m62's on 1.8 liter miatas. Why not a eaton m90?

ask your self how much power you want. go 1200 blower, 14ish psi, bigger heat exchanger or possibly fmic, aem ems, id1000 or bosch 900 injectors. NO thicker headgaskt. god when will that godforsaken fad die.

should make well over 400whp on a dynojet then tune for e85, bigger injectors, more fuel pump and make near 500whp.

as for tires, ill say the same thing i say in everyones thread, R MOTHER f@#kING COMPS or DRAG RADIALS. star specs and re11's are great tires, but cant hold this kinda power in 1st, 2nd, sometimes even third gear

Don't get the head gasket. Waste and it will blow. Your sc kit is plenty capable of 400whp. SOS can get a little more but not worth the upgrade for now at least imo.

on stock ecu I wouldn't go over the 6 psi really.

Upgrade to 12-14 psi once you get stand alone and injectors etc.

As for traction, I just have hankook ventus v12's. 255/40/17 in the rear and sometimes get a little wheel spin end of first but that is it. I am at 406whp at 12 psi with a vortech sc.

Thanks for the advice, suprising I hear this is the case with other cars and their headgaskets as well. Seemingly all aftermarket performance oriented multiple layer steel head gaskets do not hold up as OE units do...

I find myself take back my words already as I just finished the air/water intercooler and i'm very impressed at what a difference it made. The car now rocket from 6,000 to a 9,000 with a powerband that just seems to climb and climb at the very end. With this change, i'm very eager to see what a comptech header, exhaust, and new clutch would do.

It definitely feels like a rocket after 6000. Have you had your AFRs monitored yet?

clutch yea. It may hold for a little while at 6psi but you will need one.

Honestly, I'd skip the header. Exhaust, maybe, as it'll make the whole thing more efficient. Still, I'd do the EMS and injectors with a smaller pulley before I got a header/exhaust. I have a Comptech exhaust now on my AP1. With a stage 1 kit it's probably good for another 10-15HP...not much bang for the buck considering it's in the ballpark of an EMS. For the price of a header/exhaust you could get the injectors, ems, and pulley and still have money left over.
