Default comptech supercharger vs ultimate racing turbo

i want to add some power to my '01 s2k and i need some advice. right now im look at the comptech supercharger or the ultimate racing turbo kit. the price is more or less about the same and i know the difference between a supercharger and a turbo. right now im leaning more towards the turbo beacuse of its overall better performance and less stress on the engine but the supercharger is also appealing since there is no lag and the power is instant. so im kinda jumpin from one to another and need some advice/opinions on what you think is better. thanks

you deffinately need to do a little more research, even though superchargers do boost instantly you will still boost sooner with a turbo, on the comptech you only gain about 10 hp at 4 thousand rpm's, with a turbo you can gain about ten times that. also if cost is an issue the turbos base price is more of a starting point, you still will at least need an exhaust and tune at minimum, I'm putting an emphasis on minimum. the sc is an easy install that you can do at home and no tuning is required to run safely.
what is important to you???

agreed. so to summarize:
1. kit price does not equal final cost (after tuning, etc.), so take this into consideration
2. Boost comes early with a supercharger, but it's minimal boost. The shape of the boost curve for each product you mention is notably different. Starting early doesn't mean more boost throughout. In fact if you wanna "feel" boost soon, turbo (in general, not always) is a closer match than comptech.
3. Do some searching...you'll find answers
