I would consider getting a tru boost or greddy controller. That way you can run two settings one for summer and one for winter. I think they also do a better job at controlling the boost and possibly provide more power.

All you need is a boost gauge and a good ball and spring type boost controller. Sometimes I just can't see why people pay so much for an electronic boost-controller.

Cracking pressure. The turbo will spool faster if the wastegate is held closed until the last second. You also get consistency and multiple settings at the touch of a button. There are also controllers with rpm specific control and many other features. Check valve MBCs work, but EBCs have them beat in the features department.

Well I had no problems with my MBC, other then me being an idiot and stripping the allen key thing. IT usually only "spiked" to the setting of 10PSI, then as the RPMS rose the BOOST slightly fell off a little, but for the ease of installation and the fact that it is $114.00 I can't complain

All good. I understand your decision. My post was directed to the post above me. Just keep an eye on your controller, and clean and oil it every now an then. If it fouls up, and the ball gets stuck, you know what's going to happen. On the other hand, an aem tru boost is a controller, and a boost gauge for $270-$300. Not a bad deal at all.

It all just unscrews. Pay attention to the order the parts come out. You probably don't need to clean it much. I'd say every 6 months pop the hoses off and spray a tiny bit of silicon spray in th fittings.
