Default Coolant temp sensor possible differences?

Anyone know if there are any differences between ap1 and ap2 CLT sensors? I put an AP1 intake manifold on my AP2 engine (no difference there) but it had an ap1 CLT sensor on it and now my temperatures seem to be reading higher than normal. I'm not overheating or boiling over so I dont think its a cooling issue but perhaps just a difference in the years of CLT sensors and now im getting a false reading.

For example on the hottest day in 90 degree weather in traffic i would maybe see 232 on my aem serial gauge. Now im seeing around 200 degrees on start up after letting the car sit for a couple hours and 224-226 on the highway and it is only about 60 degrees outside.

Remember you need change the cals for the sensor in the aem, or it reads high

Yeah my cals were never updated or changed but I'm just referencing off the previous numbers. I know it reads high but for some reason it's reading higher now with the full-blown rad and ap1 clt sensor?

Sounds to me you have air in the system, it can be tricky sometimes to get bled out. 232 is approx. 10-15 degrees high per the fubar'd cal's, so it's still in the 220 range, which is to high imo for DD.

Did you swap h/g too? Try doing a comp test to see how the motor is looking to make sure it's sealed ok.

Yeah I'm not mixing fluids at the moment. Coolant is clean and oil had no milk or bubbles in it also. I ran an initial compression and leakdown test on the motor when I first changed the headgasket and all was good. I guess I'll try again just to make sure.

I ordered a oem headgasket from majestic a few minutes ago. As soon as this headgasket pops im going straight back to oem lol

Is that the one that you showed me? Let's hope it makes it through the tune, and longer, another hassle nobody needs to be messing with.
