I was having the exact same issue with my recent turbo install. I upgraded my radiator to a Koyo, swapped the stock fans for FAL fans, added Water Wetter to a 70/30 mix of water/coolant, and set both fans to come on at 195 degrees....haven't had an issue since.

You obviously didn't read half of the original post did you?

Just giving you a hard time.
CR= MY08+ = DBW = NO AEM
Plus my post says I hooked up Flashpro

I will try some things tomorrow and update this thread again as needed.
TY for all those who have commented so far.

Also for "ihiryu" we're also in texas, south east area about an hour and a half from houston.

Heater is nice and toasty everytime, as long as the car has been warmed up enough.
I skimmed your post and missed that part.

Cooling issues are usually pretty simple imo.

It can only be one of the following:
air in the system
improper water/coolant mixture
blocked coolant passages
bad fan/relay
to small a radiator/blocked radiator
headgasket
bad radiator cap

Hmm, you can always set the fans to come on sooner in flashpro. That's really weird, again even with my Full Race turbo kit (and we know those suckers build heat!) I've never overheated.

However you shouldn't have to do that. Cooling plate and a better radiator cap would probably be the best bet. Help air move towards the radiator, and the cap to help it build a little more pressure.

The SPAL fans are awesome. Sitting still, temps creep to 190, 2 fans kick on, only run for 15 seconds, temps drop to 180 immediately. With 98 degrees outside and AC on (mind you fans run constantly when AC on), temps never get above 190. When a little cooler out, the AC actually cycles off and fans go off. Amazing.

+1 for the Spal fans. But the thing that helped the most for me was actually the simplest part. Cutting away the plastic trim above the IC to let much more air flow over it to the rad. With my Mase kit the IC sits fully flush against the stock trim plugging the opening completely.
